PICOO - CREATE THAT UX

During this project we had a client "Picoo" who make interactive outdoor games for kids. We had a chance to play couple of their games and get an idea of how the games work and what they are about.

What did we want to achieve: The issue that "Picoo" had was their customers couldn't make their own quizzes. They wanted us to make a prototype that allows theachers to create their own quizzes while also following their brand guidelines. The final prototype must also be tested with the target audience to see if it is user-friendly and easy to use.

What did we do: The first thing we did was send a debriefing document to our client "Picoo" to get a better understanding of what they wanted. Also, one of our team members borrowed "Picoo" console from ISSD and we got to test out the quiztafette game again. After that we started brainstorming ideas on how to make the prototype and what features it should have. We put our ideas into Figma with colors and style according to "Picoo" brand guide. Figma link with prototypes, persona and Hi-Fi prototype.(seperated in different pages)

How did we achieve it: We achieved it by doing research on what "Picoo" is about and what their brand guidelines are. Besides that, we conducted interviews with the target audience to see what they think about the prototype and what features they would like to have. Based on their responses we made changes to the prototype and added features that they wanted.

What did I do: My work in this project was mainly focused on prototype, giving ideas and research on competitor analysis. For the figma prototype I made my version of "Quiztafette" prototype, but I decided to include a preview page that allows teachers to see what the quiz looks like before they start it. I asked my team members what they think about the preview page idea and they liked it so we decided so stick with it. I also did some research on competitor analysis like kahoot and quizlet to see what features they have and what I could add to my prototype. From Kahoot I got the idea of chosing a type of question like multiple choice, true or false and fill in the blank.

How did I do it: As I was creating my quiztafette prototype, I thought an intuitive preview page would be a great addition. It lets teachers see the quiz before starting it so they can make adjustments to the quiz. For the competitor analysis, every team member did some research and I found out that kahoot has a question type (true or false) so I decided to add that to my prototype.

How did I achieve it: I achieved these things by doing research, getting feedback and personal expierences with quiz games. Asking team members for feedback on my prototype and what they think about the preview page idea helped me in the Hi-Fi prototype creation.

Conclusion: This project was a great experience for me, I learned more about prototype creation in Figma. I also learned that I can make prototypes based on my real life expierences and ideas. Besides that I improved my communication and presentation skills by telling my ideas to the team and doing presentation for the client.
